- Experience as a cook or in a related role
- knowledge of basic food preparation principles and food safety regulations
- ability to acquire food safety certification
- basic math and counting skills
- strong interpersonal communication skills
- ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, walking, and standing for extended periods
