This particular role is located at Riley Hospital and involves food preparation duties essential to supporting patient care and hospital operations. The position is for a part-time food preparation professional working 24 hours per week, primarily during the 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM shift. Responsibilities include preparing regular and therapeutic diets as well as hot and cold food items for retail, patient meals, and catering services. The food preparation must be performed accurately following production sheets and under the direction of supervisory staff such as the Chef, Lead, Manager, or Supervisor.
The role requires attention to detail and adherence to food safety standards, potentially involving certification such as the ISDOH Food Handler certification under Title 410 IAC 7-22, and preferably ServSafe Certification. Candidates are expected to have 1-3 years of food preparation experience to ensure they can meet the demands and standards of a hospital food service environment.
