This job opportunity is for a full-time Cook position located at Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York. The role offers a competitive hourly wage of $24.50 and requires the candidate to work a full-time schedule that includes early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays. This position emphasizes preparation and delivery of high-quality food items in a high-volume healthcare environment, following all applicable federal, state, and corporate food standards and guidelines. The Cook will be responsible for preparing food according to standardized recipes, ensuring proper portioning, temperature control, and presentation. The role also involves using established procedures for ticket collection, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, ordering and receiving supplies, and ensuring compliance with food safety and HACCP standards. Candidates must have experience handling high-volume food preparation and demonstrate a personal commitment to safety for themselves and coworkers.
