We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. This full-time role offers an hourly salary range of $24 to $26 and reports directly to the Director of Culinary Services. As the Cook, you will play a key role in preparing delicious, high-quality meals that meet the unique dietary needs of our senior living residents, their families, and guests. You will be responsible for studying recipes, setting up menus, and ensuring all meals are prepared to the highest standards. The role also requires strict adherence to sanitation regulations, food safety protocols, and accurate record-keeping.
In this position, you will manage receiving, rotating, and inventory of products to ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines. Your work will be critical to maintaining the health and satisfaction of our community members by delivering meals that are not only nutritious but also enjoyable and thoughtfully prepared. - High school diploma or GED
- one year of related experience in food preparation and handling
- current ServSafe certification or ability to obtain it
- knowledge of HACCP and food safety regulations
- ability to follow recipes and meet dietary requirements
- capability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs
- good organizational and time management skills
- excellent judgment and problem-solving abilities
