The Cook position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $18.21 to $22.00 per hour, reflecting the level of expertise and experience required. The successful candidate will prepare meals using standardized recipes, ensuring that portions are correct, food is served at the appropriate temperature, and presentation is appealing and appetizing. Maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, including refrigerators and storerooms, is essential, as is proper storage or disposal of excess food following safe food-handling procedures. Operating and maintaining kitchen equipment correctly and assisting with production planning, record-keeping, food ordering, and receiving, are also core responsibilities.
Safety is a significant aspect of this role, with strict adherence to policies such as the use of cut gloves when handling sharp tools, oven mitts and fryer gloves for handling hot items, and slip-resistant shoes alongside proper lifting techniques.
