Chartwells K12 is currently hiring full-time Cook positions at the Pulaski County Special School District located at 925 East Dixon Road, Little Rock, AR. This full-time role operates Monday through Friday with two possible shifts: 6:00 AM or 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The position requires prior cooking experience and offers a fixed pay rate of $13.00 per hour, with an additional internal employee referral bonus available. All applications are accepted online. The role of a Cook with Chartwells K12 involves preparing high-quality food items in alignment with federal, state, and corporate standards, guidelines, and regulations. The position focuses on maintaining quality food service at all times, ensuring meals are served on time, properly portioned, aesthetically pleasing, and safe to eat in compliance with HACCP standards. Cooks also handle kitchen maintenance, cleanliness, proper storage of food and supplies, and operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively. Staff are responsible for record-keeping related to production and service, assisting with ordering and receiving supplies, as well as reporting maintenance or safety issues immediately.
