The role of Bus Driver/Custodian at Community Council of Idaho is a seasonal full-time position, with an approximate start date in March or April and continuing through December. The position involves a combination of responsibilities including safely transporting children, parents, and other passengers on school bus routes, and maintaining the cleanliness and minor upkeep of the center facilities, grounds, playground equipment, and buses. This dual role requires a person with a strong orientation toward safety, reliability, and attention to detail, as well as the ability to perform custodial tasks efficiently. The Bus Driver/Custodian is responsible for following all federal, state, and local traffic laws, conducting vehicle inspections, performing safety drills and training, managing reports and work orders, and providing guidance to staff and volunteers. Additionally, this role requires maintaining grounds through litter control, mowing, weeding, irrigation, and snow removal, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for the community at all times. This position requires a clean driving record, successful completion of physical and background checks, and certifications including First Aid and CPR.
