The role of Cook CD - Skilled is a vital position within the HMSHost team at Cincinnati Airport's Food & Beverage division. This non-exempt position offers competitive compensation ranging from $18.25 to $18.95 per hour, reflecting the value HMSHost places on skilled culinary professionals. The Cook CD - Skilled is responsible for preparing cooked foods and performing multiple station functions including Fry, Flat Top Griddle, Pantry, and egg cooking. This role demands a high level of culinary expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will follow recipes and product directions meticulously to prepare, season, cook, taste, carve, and serve a variety of food items including soups, meats, vegetables, and desserts. Monitoring food production accurately to estimate requirements and maintaining thorough records is part of ensuring operational success. The Cook CD - Skilled plays a key role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of workstations and equipment, adhering to HACCP standards to guarantee food safety. The position requires proficiency in operating kitchen equipment and handling ingredients as well as a strong understanding of food preparation techniques related to sauces, soups, sautéing, broiling, frying, and pantry tasks.
