Currently, SOUND Behavioral Health is hiring a full-time cook to join their residential facility culinary team. This role involves preparing and serving nutritionally balanced meals twice daily for both clients and staff within the residential setting. The cook will follow strict health and safety regulations to ensure that all meals meet high-quality standards. This position also supports the preparation and distribution of food to remote sites, catering to different consumer and team member needs. The ideal candidate will have experience in institutional food service environments, particularly with knowledge of portion control, recipe adherence, and special dietary considerations for clients with medical needs. This role necessitates a hands-on approach including kitchen cleaning and working collaboratively with other team members and clients in a rehabilitative context. The cook is expected to participate in team meetings, engage in continuous education, and uphold ethical standards in all interactions. They must comply with federal, state, and local regulations, along with internal policies to maintain a safe and compliant work environment. A Food Handler's permit and CPR certification are required within 30 days of employment, alongside passing criminal background checks. Physical demands include occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods in kitchen and dining areas. SOUND Behavioral Health offers an attractive hourly wage ranging from $23.80 to $25.02.
