The role of a per diem Cook at Seneca Square is crucial in ensuring that the nutritional needs of residents are met with care and professionalism. Under the supervision of the Dietary Director, the Cook is responsible for preparing and serving meals in a timely manner, ensuring that all food meets nutritional standards and is served in appropriate portions suitable for the dietary requirements of the residents. This part-time, per diem position offers competitive pay ranging from $20.50 to $20.80 per hour, providing both flexibility and attractive compensation for individuals passionate about culinary work in a social service environment. In this role, the Cook will follow recipes and food safety protocols meticulously to deliver food that is not only nutritious but also appealing in presentation. They will be responsible for the advanced preparation of food, maintaining quality, and ensuring that all meals are served at the correct temperature. The Cook will also oversee the cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas, storerooms, refrigeration units, and culinary equipment.
