The Cook 1 position at Pebble Beach Resorts is an integral culinary role responsible for preparing both hot and cold foods to the highest standards set by the Lodge kitchen management. This role is vital in maintaining the exceptional quality and consistency that guests expect from Pebble Beach dining experiences. As a Cook 1, you will be entrusted with a variety of food preparation tasks including creating cold sandwiches, salads, basic vegetable prep, meat and fish handling, and executing diverse cooking techniques such as frying, grilling, baking, roasting, and poaching. In this position, precision in following recipe cards and presentation standards is crucial. The Cook 1 will also support various kitchen stations including Stillwater Grill, Tap Room, banquet functions, and buffet setups to ensure smooth and efficient service. The role includes responsibilities such as employee dining room cooking, maintaining cleanliness, managing inventory rotation to reduce waste, and assisting in training and mentoring junior cooks. Moreover, compliance with all safety, health, and sanitation policies is strictly enforced. • High school diploma or equivalent
• Five years kitchen experience including two years in a similar role at a premier restaurant, resort, or hotel
