As a Concierge at The Pierre New York, you will be the epitome of hospitality and service excellence. The role is central to the guest experience, acting as the primary point of contact from the moment guests arrive until their departure. Your mission is to anticipate and meet guests' needs proactively, providing a wide range of services including restaurant reservations, transportation arrangements, theater ticket bookings, and tailored tour recommendations. Leveraging your extensive knowledge of New York City, you will craft personalized itineraries that enhance the guest’s stay and showcase the vibrant local culture.
This position is ideal for individuals with a passion for hospitality who thrive in a fast-paced, luxury environment. You will handle guest inquiries and requests with empathy and professionalism, maintaining clear communication with colleagues and various hotel departments to ensure flawless coordination of services. Additionally, you will supervise bell staff to guarantee smooth and efficient arrivals and departures, proper luggage handling, and timely response to guest requests. Your role is also instrumental in maintaining an updated database of contacts, vendors, and attractions, which is vital to delivering VIP-level service.

The position also involves administrative responsibilities such as managing incoming and outgoing mail, messages, and reconciling charges from the Concierge Desk. This role not only demands exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including fluency in English and preferably additional languages, but also requires proficiency in hotel computer systems such as OPERA, ALICE, and digital reservation platforms like RESY and OpenTable. The physical nature of the job includes standing and walking for extended periods, bending, kneeling, and lifting luggage or packages weighing up to 50 lbs, reflecting the active engagement required to deliver outstanding guest service.

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Additional education or certification in hospitality management or related field is a plus
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a lobby level hotel Concierge in the luxury market and/or related luxury experience
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with fluency in English
- Fluency in a language other than English strongly preferred
- Ability to attend to detailed and meticulous guest requests
