The Barista position at Terrace Kitchen offers a consistent full-time schedule from Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, focusing entirely on daytime shift work with no late-night hours. The pay range for this role is competitive, starting at $19.00 per hour and reaching up to $21.00 per hour based on experience and performance. Ideal candidates will have previous barista experience, although we are open to training motivated individuals who are eager to deliver quality coffee and customer service. This position requires a hands-on, customer-facing professional who can prepare and serve espresso drinks and related food and beverage items while maintaining high standards of sanitation, safety, and customer interaction. In this role, you will be managing espresso orders using standard measurements and recipes, efficiently entering orders into our Point of Sale system while handling cash and card transactions accurately. Maintaining cleanliness and replenishment of condiments, beverages, and supplies is key to ensuring a seamless service experience. Adhering to HACCP guidelines for food safety and portion control is critical to our operation, as is ensuring that all displays and serving stations are visually appealing and well-maintained throughout the shift. You will be an important ambassador of our brand, engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner, explaining menu items clearly, and assisting with their selections to enhance their enjoyment and satisfaction. You will also work collaboratively with the team to maintain a clean and efficient work area, taking pride in the quality and presentation of all products served.
