The Madison, Wisconsin Community Ambassador is a dynamic part-time role designed for individuals who are passionate about their city and enjoy connecting with others. This position is remote, allowing you to work from your home or anywhere with WiFi, making it flexible and convenient. As a Community Ambassador, you will be the local face of Yelp, leading efforts to engage and grow the community by fostering relationships with local business owners, event organizers, and influential members of the Yelp Elite Squad. The role blends skills in event planning, social media management, marketing, and community building to highlight the best of Madison’s vibrant local businesses and culture. This role requires creativity, initiative, and excellent communication skills, as you will be conceptualizing, planning, and executing various Yelp events in the Madison area. Your responsibilities include engaging with the local Yelp Elite Squad both online and offline, organizing exclusive events that celebrate their contributions while sustaining enthusiasm for the Yelp community. You will craft curated Yelp collections featured in newsletters that promote local businesses under weekly themes, further amplifying exposure and interest. Managing Yelp's social media presence for Madison across platforms like Instagram and Twitter will also be essential. Your role is integral to strengthening the digital and physical footprint of Yelp within the city, making you a key player in connecting residents with the hidden gems and popular spots alike. Besides the rewarding community engagement, this position offers competitive pay between $21.00 and $28.00 per hour for a commitment of 19 hours per week. Ideal candidates have a strong knowledge of Madison, proven ability to cultivate business relationships, and a passion for marketing and event management. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not mandatory, and you must be at least 21 years old and live within 30 minutes of Madison city center.
