The role of Kitchen Manager at Eggs Up Grill is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing the daily back-of-house operations. Reporting directly to the Restaurant Manager, the Kitchen Manager ensures that all kitchen activities run smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with quality and safety standards. This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, from supervising food preparation to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards, managing inventory, and enforcing cost control measures. Additionally, the Kitchen Manager is deeply involved in staff management tasks such as hiring, scheduling, coaching, disciplining, and even making employment decisions. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, possesses strong organizational and leadership skills, and communicates effectively in a calm and confident manner.
In this fast-paced, dynamic environment, the Kitchen Manager acts as a mentor and guide to kitchen staff, ensuring that meals are prepared and presented according to the restaurant's established recipes and portion control standards. - Several years of experience working in a restaurant-related field and in a fast-paced environment
- Experience delegating tasks and maintaining quick service
- Maintain a current ServSafe Manager certification or be able to obtain certification within one month of job acceptance
- Candidate must show an in-depth understanding of kitchen health and safety regulations regardless of certification level
- Proven work experience as a Kitchen Manager is preferred
