The role in focus is for a Server, a vital position within the restaurant. As a Server, the individual will be the face of the restaurant, responsible for greeting guests warmly, making them feel comfortable, and ensuring their dining experience is enjoyable. The position requires exceptional communication skills to answer questions about the menu, take orders accurately using the point-of-sale system, and deliver food and beverages promptly. A Server must also be adept at handling payments efficiently, including cash and credit card transactions. This role includes performing side work tasks as required by management, maintaining the cleanliness and readiness of the service area, and monitoring guest satisfaction throughout their visit.
Servers are also expected to be team players, willing to assist colleagues when needed and actively participate in team meetings to stay aligned with restaurant policies and goals. This position requires a keen knowledge of the menu, which will be acquired through training, and the ability to work flexible shifts, including some Food Runner duties. The position is suited to individuals at least 18 years old who are looking to gain valuable experience in the hospitality industry, whether they have prior restaurant experience or are new to the field.
