The position available is for a Lead Captain for a Part 135 Gulfstream G450 aircraft based in Henderson, NV. This is a full-time role offering a competitive salary range of $330,000 to $350,000 annually along with fully paid medical and healthcare premiums. The candidate for this role must either reside within a two-hour drivable distance from Henderson or be willing to relocate to meet this requirement. Gulfstream-type experience is preferred, which means candidates should be highly familiar with the Gulfstream G450 or similar aircraft.
In this critical leadership role, the Lead Captain not only serves as a flight crewmember acting as Pilot in Command (PIC) or Second in Command (SIC) when designated but also takes charge of managing communication between various stakeholders such as the Account Manager, Director of Maintenance (DOM), Director of Training, Assistant Chief Pilot (ACP), and Trip Support Specialists. This ensures smooth operational flow and addresses any issues proactively.
Responsibilities of the Lead Captain extend beyond flying duties to include crew oversight, compliance monitoring, training coordination, schedule management, and financial review such as expense and invoice approvals. The Lead Captain is also expected to facilitate a positive and professional work environment that fosters Clay Lacy Aviation’s culture and ideals within the flight department. Applicants will undergo a pre-employment drug screen and background check to maintain the highest safety and security standards.
This role demands strong organizational skills, exemplary interpersonal abilities, and the capacity to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders. The Lead Captain is also involved in maintenance coordination and troubleshooting, ensuring all scheduled and unscheduled mechanical issues are communicated and resolved efficiently to minimize aircraft downtime.

- Experience safely operating Gulfstream G450 aircraft or similar
