We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Stewarding Supervisor to join our team, a vital role ensuring that the kitchen operations run efficiently and continuously meet strict health and safety standards. This position offers varied shifts and days off, providing flexibility to fit different schedules. Additionally, employees are offered flexible payment options such as daily, weekly, or biweekly pay, catering to individual financial needs. The Stewarding Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the Stewarding team, which includes dish machine operators and porters, managing daily operations, inventory control, equipment sanitation, and food safety compliance. The role requires strong leadership skills to hire, train, schedule, and lead the team effectively while working closely with the banquet and culinary managers to coordinate operational needs during events.
This role demands a hands-on approach with responsibilities spanning from supervising staff and inspecting food products to maintaining compliance with state department of health codes and managing kitchen sanitation. The Stewarding Supervisor must proactively ensure that all kitchen equipment and storage areas are sanitized and properly managed, adhering to FIFO practices and temperature standards for perishables. - Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and push carts up to 150 pounds in moving and stocking inventory
- Will work in walk-in coolers and freezers
- Required to obtain and maintain ServSafe certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in banquet, culinary, or related operations
- Prior supervisory experience desired
- Experience with collective bargaining environment preferred
