This role is a full-time position featuring an excellent compensation and relocation package designed to attract highly qualified and motivated candidates eager to contribute to the company’s success.Placed under the leadership of the Director of Operations, the Chief Pilot position plays a critical role within Freeman Jet Center by overseeing the professional standards and performance of the flight crews stationed at FJC Charter. The Chief Pilot acts as a key operational leader responsible for managing flight crew assignments, ensuring compliance with all applicable flight operations policies and procedures, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and customer service. Beyond administrative duties, the Chief Pilot actively operates FJC Charter aircraft, serving as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) in alignment with FAA regulations and company protocols. The position demands exceptional leadership capabilities, a deep understanding of federal aviation regulations, and the ability to coordinate multiple aspects of flight operations collaboratively with the Director of Operations. This role requires someone with proven aviation expertise, including comprehensive experience in multi-engine flight operations, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to fostering a safety-first culture. The Chief Pilot also bears responsibility for maintaining aircraft and crew records, managing the Minimum Equipment List (MEL) program, and ensuring that all aircraft documentation is current and readily accessible. Furthermore, this position holds the authority to act on behalf of the Certificate Holder, including signing FAA correspondence and managing operations specifications. Given the critical nature of the role, the Chief Pilot must remain fully proficient as a Pilot-in-Command, continually meeting or exceeding required Federal Aviation Regulations, operational specifications, and company standards. The role involves occasional night, weekend, and holiday work, underscoring its commitment to meeting client and operational demands around the clock. The Chief Pilot will be an integral part in providing excellent customer service and professional courtesy to FJC Charter clients and owners while actively participating in the company’s Safety Management System (SMS) program to uphold the utmost safety and quality standards.   • Minimum 2500 hours total time including 1200 hours pilot in command with 500 hours cross country, 100 hours night time and 75 hours actual or simulated instrument time
  • 3+ years of leadership or management experience
  • meet all required qualifications stated in CFR Part 119.71
  • current and valid pilot's certificate with an English proficient endorsement
  • valid commercial instrument multi-engine rating
  • able to maintain a second-class medical
  • bachelor's degree from an accredited university or equivalent professional aviation experience
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to work as part of a team in a high stress, fast paced environment
  • highly motivated, organized and attentive to detail
  • extremely computer proficient
  • knowledgeable of all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations
  • able to lift 50 pounds, climb, kneel, squat, sit and stand for extended periods
