Pilot Flying J, a key part of Pilot Company, is seeking an experienced Retail Assistant Manager to oversee high-volume retail facilities. This position is vital to the success of the travel centers and restaurants within the company’s expansive network. The Retail Assistant Manager will be responsible for generating and executing business plans that align with established standards, sales targets, profit objectives, and customer satisfaction goals. This role requires strong leadership skills to build, coach, manage, and develop a team, ensuring operational efficiency and excellent service standards. The position involves managing staffing needs, including interviewing, hiring, and training employees. Additionally, the Retail Assistant Manager will facilitate team meetings, maintain effective vendor relationships, and ensure that customer expectations are consistently met. A critical part of the role is driving sales, managing inventory, analyzing profit and loss, and providing exemplary customer service. The position offers competitive pay rates ranging from $23.52 to $37.49 per hour, along with short-term monthly incentive opportunities. This role requires flexibility to work various shifts including nights, days, weekends, and holidays, making it suitable for dynamic and motivated individuals ready to take on a leadership role in a fast-paced retail environment.
