Eataly is the world’s largest artisanal Italian food and beverage marketplace, renowned for its unique approach to celebrating Italian culinary culture. Unlike traditional chains, each Eataly location possesses its own distinct character and theme, tailored to the local community and environment. This dedicated marketplace not only offers guests the chance to enjoy authentic Italian cuisine through its restaurants, cafes, and to-go counters but also provides an immersive shopping experience featuring a carefully curated selection of high-quality Italian, local, and homemade products. Eataly is equally committed to education, offering customers an opportunity to learn about Italian food and beverage traditions through interactive classes and the extensive product knowledge possessed by their expert team members. The Events and Education Manager position at Eataly is a dynamic and pivotal role designed for individuals passionate about Italian gastronomy, event management, and educational programming. This role is responsible for overseeing the organization, supervision, and execution of both public and private events hosted at Eataly, including classes at La Scuola di Eataly—the brand’s prestigious cooking school—store buyouts, promotional press events, partnership collaborations, producer tastings, private dinners, and larger storewide events catering to anywhere from five to 1,500 guests. The manager reports directly to the Marketing Manager and leads both the Education and Events team as well as service staff. Critical responsibilities include managing the Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) teams at La Scuola, handling all correspondence related to class registrations, cancellations, private event inquiries, and general public queries via email and phone. The manager ensures smooth execution and proper planning of events, coordinating with chefs, beverage managers, and event team members to deliver seamless, memorable experiences for attendees. This involves overseeing the setup, facilitation, and breakdown of cooking classes, wine tastings, communal dinners, private receptions, and other specialty events hosted at La Scuola. Another essential facet of the role is the creation and promotion of public classes, which includes drafting detailed class descriptions, compiling instructor biographies, designing class registration pages for online platforms, and assisting in instruction when necessary. The manager also spearheads storewide events, promotions, and enhances partner event collaborations to raise the profile of Eataly’s educational offerings. This role is not only operationally focused but requires a creative mindset to conceive innovative event concepts that align with Eataly’s brand values. The position offers an annual salary ranging between $65,000 and $70,000 and includes a variety of employee benefits aimed at promoting a supportive and inclusive workplace. Candidates will find that the role demands flexibility due to evening, weekend, and holiday shifts and requires physical endurance, such as lifting up to 50 pounds and maintaining mobility for extended periods. Joining Eataly provides a unique opportunity to work in an environment steeped in Italian culinary tradition and committed to educating and enriching the community through exceptional food, events, and learning experiences. As an equal employment opportunity employer, Eataly embraces diversity, prohibits discrimination, and complies with all applicable laws to ensure fair hiring practices and workplace accommodation. This role is ideal for those who possess excellent organizational and communication skills and who thrive in a fast-paced, culinary-focused events setting.
