The current job opening supports the Interior Designer by handling the transportation, setup, preparation, and staging of furniture throughout various locations within the Hampton VA Medical Center, including its multiple outpatient clinics. This role is essential in maintaining the functionality and aesthetics of medical environments by ensuring that furniture and related materials are properly positioned and installed according to design and operational requirements. The incumbent will perform a wide variety of duties during their shifts, which include moving heavy furniture and equipment, managing materials handling equipment, and ensuring safety protocols in physically demanding tasks. The role requires both physical endurance and attention to detail as it involves working with diverse furniture types and settings under varying environmental conditions.
This position is classified as an "Other" employment type and does not require a specified level of formal education; however, the successful candidate must demonstrate relevant skill sets and experience suitable for the role.
