They are currently seeking a dedicated Food Service Associate to join their Food Service Department and support daily operations while delivering outstanding customer service. The Food Service Associate role is critical as it ensures customers receive attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable service while engaging in suggestive selling to enhance their shopping experience. This position requires the associate to assist the Food Service Manager in the daily operation of the Food Service department, maintain cleanliness and safety standards, and ensure that products are prepared and handled safely. The associate is responsible for maintaining a visually appealing department by preparing items such as salads, sandwiches, chicken, pizza, pasta, entrees, and catering orders according to company recipes and quality standards. The role involves handling equipment like slicers, scales, rotisseries, ovens, fryolators, and other specialized machinery essential for food preparation. Working in this position requires attention to detail in product display conditions, inventory management including receiving and storing products, quality control, and customer interaction. The associate must maintain appropriate temperatures for product storage and display, ensure proper signage for product choices and ingredients, and adhere strictly to health, safety, and sanitation regulations at local, state, and federal levels. The associate also helps promote current charitable promotions to customers, contributing to the community engagement efforts of the store. Physical demands include the ability to stand and walk for the full duration of the scheduled shifts, occasionally lifting weights up to 60 pounds, and operating within varying temperature conditions. Safety and hygiene are paramount, and associates must follow the company’s grooming standards, wear uniforms and gloves as required, and comply with the company’s Hazard Communication (HAZCOM) program for safe handling of chemical products. The role requires punctuality, reliability, and the ability to work cooperatively in a team environment while supporting the department's operational effectiveness.
