The Chef role at Legend Senior Living is a unique opportunity to lead the culinary team during daytime hours, ensuring no late-night shifts, which fosters a healthy work-life balance. The primary responsibility of the Chef is to oversee all culinary operations within the community, including menu planning, provisioning, kitchen safety, and the supervision of kitchen and dining room staff. This role goes beyond food preparation and service; it requires leadership, creativity, and a passion for delivering outstanding dining experiences that meet the dietary needs and preferences of senior residents. The Chef will manage budgets, inventory, and ensure compliance with all food safety standards and regulations, while maintaining a clean, organized kitchen environment. In this position, the Chef will be an integral part of the community, sometimes fulfilling additional responsibilities such as acting as Manager-On-Duty on a rotating basis and stepping in to support culinary staff when necessary.                 - Two years experience cooking in a commercial kitchen preferred
 - experience supervising kitchen staff preferred
 - formal culinary training or associates degree in culinary arts preferred or 5 years of culinary experience
 - current food handling license required as required by the state
