The Chef Manager role at Aramark is a pivotal position within the culinary team, reporting directly to the General Manager. This role requires a hands-on leader who combines culinary expertise with strong people management skills. The Chef Manager will be directly responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service and delivering memorable food experiences. Key responsibilities include training and managing kitchen personnel and coordinating culinary activities to maintain high standards of quality and safety. The Chef Manager will also estimate food consumption, requisition or purchase necessary ingredients, and develop and standardize recipes to guarantee consistency. Oversight of menu planning, pricing, and presentation to meet both customer expectations and budget guidelines is essential in this role. Additionally, the Chef Manager will ensure that kitchen equipment operates correctly, maintenance protocols are followed, and safety and sanitation standards are rigorously applied. The role also involves managing special catering events and may include offering culinary instruction or demonstrating advanced culinary techniques to team members.   • 2-3 years of post-high school education or equivalent experience
  • Culinary degree preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession
  • Experiential knowledge of management of people and/or problems
