The role of Chef de Cuisine at Aramark is a pivotal culinary leadership position responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations at a given location. As the lead culinary person, the Chef de Cuisine ensures that all culinary activities operate smoothly and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of food preparation and presentation. In this role, the Chef de Cuisine will train and lead kitchen personnel, coordinate culinary activities, and have the responsibility of estimating food consumption to requisition or purchase supplies as needed. A strong focus is placed on selecting, developing, and standardizing production recipes to ensure consistent quality across all meals produced. The Chef de Cuisine is also tasked with establishing presentation techniques and quality standards, planning and pricing menus to balance culinary excellence with financial goals.
Ensuring proper equipment operation and maintenance is part of the daily responsibilities, along with enforcing kitchen safety and sanitation standards to protect both staff and patrons. Additionally, the Chef de Cuisine may be involved in overseeing special catering events and providing culinary instruction or demonstrations to foster continuous culinary excellence within the team.

                - At least 2-3 years in a related position
 - at least 2-3 years of post-high school education, preferably a culinary degree
 - advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession
 - experiential knowledge of management of people and/or problems
 - verbal, reading, and written communication skills
