We are currently seeking an Assistant General Manager to join our team. This position plays a vital role in the hotel's daily operations by ensuring guest satisfaction and efficient management across various departments. The Assistant General Manager supports and assists the General Manager in achieving hotel profitability through revenue generation, cost control, and associate development. This role requires a proactive leader with strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to maintain composure and objectivity under high-pressure situations. As an overtime eligible manager, this position involves flexible hours with overtime compensation.
The Assistant General Manager supervises operating departments and contributes to staff recruitment, hiring, and training processes to uphold the highest service standards. They ensure ongoing training programs for both managerial and hourly employees, fostering empowerment and professional growth. The ideal candidate is committed to maintaining high standards of personal grooming and appearance, complies with company regulations, and demonstrates excellent customer service orientation toward guests and team members. Additionally, familiarity with financial data, Windows operating systems, and the ability to handle various tasks efficiently is essential. - At least 5 years of progressive experience in rooms or food and beverage department in a hotel
- previous supervisory experience required
- effective in handling stressful, high-pressure situations while maintaining composure and objectivity
- compliance with certification requirements may include Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR and First Aid
- ability to use Windows Operating Systems
- strong communication skills
- willingness to work overtime as this is an overtime eligible manager position
