This is a leadership position that requires independent judgment in making employment-related and business decisions, including but not limited to product strategies, department management, hiring, promotions, and resolving partner-related matters. The Executive Chef is entrusted with total operational and financial accountability for the specified departments. This includes training and managing kitchen personnel, supervising all culinary activities, estimating food consumption, and handling food requisitions and purchasing. Furthermore, the Executive Chef is expected to select and develop recipes, standardize production methods to ensure consistent quality, and establish presentation and quality standards. The role also involves menu planning and pricing, ensuring proper operation and maintenance of kitchen equipment, and upholding strict safety and sanitation standards in the kitchen environment. The Executive Chef may also provide culinary instruction and demonstrate cooking techniques. Direct supervision of kitchen personnel is a key responsibility, involving hiring, disciplinary actions, and evaluating performance. Maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment throughout the kitchen, walk-in coolers, and storage spaces is essential to the role.   • Proven leadership experience in a complex environment with multiple direct reports
  • Culinary Arts Degree or equivalent
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Assist in new product development and menu costing
  • Proficiency with automated reporting systems including inventory, food cost, scheduling, time and attendance, and labor
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Excellent culinary and food processing skills
  • Experience in ordering, inventory maintenance, and shrink control
  • Ability to maintain an efficient operation, troubleshoot and report equipment malfunctions
  • Ability to supervise, train, and cross-train kitchen staff
  • Maintain sanitation standards throughout the work area
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including opening, closing, and weekend shifts
