This full-time, onsite Event Worker position is based in Grayslake, Illinois, and is part of the Educational segment under the Elior Collegiate Dining brand. The role offers competitive compensation at approximately $20 per hour. As an Event Worker, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the customer experience by delivering exceptional food service during an array of banquets and catered events. You will be responsible for preparing event spaces, serving food and beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring all service conforms to health and safety standards. This position demands a strong focus on teamwork, customer engagement, and attention to detail to uphold Elior's high standards of service. Responsibilities include timely greeting of customers, providing detailed menu explanations, taking orders, delivering food and beverages, and following up to ensure customer satisfaction throughout the event. You will also be expected to assist with setup and cleanup processes, ensuring the banquet areas are organized and maintained efficiently. Prior experience in food service within catering or restaurant environments is preferred, as is excellent communication and organizational skill. Holding a Food Handler's certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
