The Sales Associate role at Williams-Sonoma is a vital position where you are responsible for creating an engaging, positive shopping experience for customers at the physical store. This position is focused on providing personalized customer service at the cash wrap area, accurately processing sales transactions including sales, returns, and exchanges, while upholding the store's high standards of product knowledge, pricing accuracy, and merchandising. The ideal candidate thrives in an energetic and upbeat environment, enjoys closing sales, and builds lasting relationships with customers by understanding their individual styles and needs. In this role, associates are expected to consistently energize the store environment, foster an environment of respect and dignity among teammates, and actively promote ongoing store promotions, new product launches, and in-store events. The ability to multitask efficiently by managing cash register operations, assisting multiple customers, and maximizing available resources to solve customer issues is essential. Additionally, maintaining visual merchandising standards and the organization of the cash wrap area is part of the daily responsibilities. The position requires individuals to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods and to safely handle medium to large items up to 75 pounds using appropriate equipment. Full-time associates are expected to have flexible availability including weekends to meet business needs, while part-time associates must be available at least 15 hours per week including weekend shifts and peak periods such as holiday seasons and inventory times.
