Currently, Sodexo is looking to hire a Food Service Operations Manager 1 to serve the United States Marine Corps at Camp Pendleton, located in Oceanside, California. This role reports directly to the General Manager and requires the efficient management of day-to-day culinary operations in one of the Mess Halls on base. The Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality food and service in a high-volume dining environment, supporting the nutritional and dietary needs of military personnel. This position is key to maintaining Sodexo's high standards of food quality, safety compliance, and customer service excellence.
The ideal candidate for this role will have between 3 to 5 years of operational management experience in a similar high-volume food service setting, demonstrating leadership abilities and a thorough understanding of food service systems. The Operations Manager must be a strong people-person with a passionate commitment to client relations and employee engagement, equipped with keen attention to detail to uphold quality and presentation. Responsibility includes managing food and labor costs, budgets, and leveraging online food management systems for menu planning, inventory control, and procurement. This role is service-focused, requiring commitment to fostering a welcoming dining environment and providing excellent customer service.
