The Agent Cargo role at WFS is a vital position that plays a key part in the smooth functioning of cargo operations. This role involves a variety of responsibilities including computer data entry, preparing flight documents, and interfacing with U.S. Customs to manage import and export documentation efficiently and in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations. The Agent Cargo also assists in the solicitation of sales by preparing lists of customers, quoting prices, and preparing sales contracts, thereby supporting the business development aspect of WFS's operations.
An Agent Cargo is expected to handle cargo shipments up to 70 pounds, maintain security compliance within the warehouse and airport operations, and stay vigilant about the security and safety of personnel and cargo. The position demands a hands-on approach to operating cargo handling equipment and managing logistical details that keep the cargo flow efficient and timely. - HS diploma, GED or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age if position requires driving cargo handling equipment
- Must have a valid driver’s license and Port Authority or Airport Authority permit if applicable
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
- Ability to handle the stress of a fast-paced eight-hour shift
