We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Porter to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining the smooth operation of the dealership’s service drive and parking lot. A Porter at Dixie Buick GMC is responsible for moving and parking customer vehicles safely and efficiently while ensuring the organization and cleanliness of service areas. The position offers competitive pay ranging from $15 to $18 per hour, along with valuable benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, sick leave, and a 401(k) plan. As a Porter, you will greet customers warmly as they arrive at the service drive, assisting them throughout the vehicle check-in process and ensuring their experience starts positively. You will be tasked with moving vehicles as directed by Service Advisors or management, conducting visual inspections for damages, and maintaining a clean, organized lot and service area. Your contributions will help technicians by delivering vehicles to service bays and returning them after service, and you may occasionally be asked to wash, vacuum, or shuttle vehicles and customers as needed. Beyond vehicle-related duties, the role includes light facility maintenance tasks to maintain a safe and presentable workplace. This position requires a candidate with a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record, who may benefit from the ability to operate both manual (stick shift) and automatic transmissions.
