The role of Bakery Decorator at Whole Foods Market is a specialized position focused on craftsmanship, creativity, and attention to detail in bakery goods preparation and decoration. This position requires individuals who possess artistic cake and pastry decorating skills with an understanding of various icings, color theory, and design principles. As a Bakery Decorator, you will be responsible for assembling, filling, and finishing cakes, tarts, pastries, and special-order bakery items, ensuring each product meets the high-quality standards of Whole Foods Market. Your work will involve creating visually stunning and delicious treats that delight customers and contribute to the overall shopping experience. Beyond the technical skills, this role requires a commitment to customer service excellence, teamwork, and adherence to food safety and cleanliness standards. You will also provide guidance and support to Bakery Decorator Apprentices and team members, participate in production planning, and assist in merchandising bakery displays. This position demands an individual capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment and capable of performing physical tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods. The wage range for this position is $17.00 to $30.20 per hour, commensurate with experience, and offers access to comprehensive benefits known as Whole Benefits. • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Standing or walking for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday
