The role of Sales Specialist within RNDC’s control states division is an exciting opportunity for a talented and driven individual. This full-time position focuses on selling products and services to major and highly complex accounts or represents a specific supplier’s portfolio. The successful candidate will be accountable for increasing sales/client ratios and expanding the customer base. This role requires a seasoned sales professional with at least six years of experience and advanced knowledge of industry products, competitor strategies, and company policies. It demands expertise in promoting fine wines, vintage, luxury products, and specialized services, alongside the ability to coordinate special events such as Wine Marker Dinners, supplier visits, and educational initiatives.
In this position, the Sales Specialist will manage pre-sells and vintage-sensitive projects, develop comprehensive sales and product presentations, and educate sales staff on in-depth wine knowledge. Coaching and mentoring junior sales representatives to meet sales targets and enhance product expertise are key responsibilities as well. The role also includes developing and adapting long-term sales plans for key customers and collaborating with marketing to ensure competitive pricing strategies. A key part of the job is to build and maintain strong relationships with customers through direct visits and impeccable service, including resolving any complaints in line with company policies.
Moreover, this position requires a proactive approach to influencing other team members, including District Managers and representatives, to amplify the brands effectively within the market. - Associates degree or Bachelor’s degree highly preferred
- Related sales experience of six years or more
- Requires a current state driver’s license
- Ability to meet company vehicle insurance requirements
- Alcohol Beverage Commission (ABC) License or Permit, as required by the state
