Additionally, the role includes re-filling drinks, pre-bussing tables to prepare them for the next guests, and running hot food from the kitchen to guests efficiently and safely. The Busser/Runner also assists servers by providing timely support to enhance service quality. Maintaining strict adherence to food safety and cleanliness standards is a vital part of this role, as is clearing dishes, resetting tables, and cleaning seats and floors. Communication skills are essential, particularly in signaling table readiness to hosts and servers and coordinating with kitchen and dishwashing staff during breakdown duties.
