This job opportunity is for a Bookseller position at Hudson’s airport location. The role combines a passion for books and excellent customer service within a bustling airport retail environment. As a Bookseller, you will be the face of Hudson in the airport, responsible for helping travelers find books they will enjoy and providing stellar customer service to enhance their shopping experience. Your knowledge and enthusiasm about books will be essential in guiding customers to the right titles and authors. You will also ensure the books are well shelved and organized according to operational standards and promotional priorities to create an inviting shopping environment. Regular duties include maintaining store cleanliness, including dusting and organizing merchandise, managing inventory communication to management, and strictly adhering to cash handling and loss prevention procedures to protect the store’s assets. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, able to work any shift any day of the week including weekends and holidays, demonstrating flexibility and reliability. Strong interpersonal skills, cash handling experience, and the ability to engage with a diverse range of customers are crucial. Physical stamina is also important as the role requires standing for extended periods and occasional lifting of items up to 30 pounds. • High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior cashiering/cash handling experience required
• Ability to interact with diverse personalities and build relationships with team members and customers
• Proficiency in the operation of a cash register and computer skills
• Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time as well as repetitive bending and lifting to 30 pounds
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
