The Winter Food & Beverage Supervisor is a seasonal leadership role that operates during the winter operating season, typically from mid-October through mid-May. This position is vital in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of all food and beverage services within the lodge during the busy winter months. The supervisor will oversee daily food service operations, lead a dynamic team, and uphold the high standards of hospitality and guest service that Bogus Basin is known for. Responsibilities include fostering a professional and welcoming environment for guests and staff, managing guest concerns with care and attentiveness, and supporting staff training and motivation.
This role requires a hands-on leader who can step into management roles as needed, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and operational standards are consistently met. The supervisor plays an instrumental role in maintaining operational efficiency through oversight of inventories, purchasing, and enforcement of safety and regulatory compliance. Strong decision-making capabilities and a passion for community-oriented service are essential as this position helps make memorable experiences for visitors while supporting the mission-driven values of the organization.

- Experience in food and beverage operations or a related field
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal alcohol laws
- Understanding of health, safety, and child labor standards
- Strong decision-making ability in stressful or fast-paced environments
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive, professional attitude
- Physical ability to stand, walk, reach, and balance for long periods
- Manual dexterity to handle cash transactions, operate POS systems, and prepare food/beverages
- Ability to multitask accurately and efficiently
- Ability to pass a background check
- At least 19 years of age
- Must have or obtain within 2 weeks of hire an alcohol server training certificate
- Availability to work the full winter season (mid-October through mid-May)
