The current opportunity is for a part-time Line Cook position at the Parkland Golf and Country Club, specifically assigned to a poolside grill. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced kitchen environments and are passionate about delivering excellent culinary service. The Line Cook will support the Chef and Kitchen Manager by preparing food across various culinary outlets on the property, ensuring strict adherence to kitchen sanitation, cleanliness, preparation, and delivery protocols. The position demands flexibility with scheduling, including availability to work weekends and holidays as needed. A key responsibility is to engage with guests by contributing to the high-quality service and dining experience that Troon is known for. Candidates should have at least one to two years of cooking experience and demonstrate dependability, strong teamwork skills, and the ability to take direction effectively. Proficiency in cooking steaks to the proper temperature, making sandwiches skillfully, and safely operating equipment such as a flat top, oven, broiler, and grill is essential. The ideal Line Cook can work independently under pressure, accurately read orders, communicate clearly, and execute basic food preparation techniques. The work hours are from 10 am to 6 pm, including weekdays and weekends, and the pay rate is competitive at $21 per hour.
