The company is currently seeking a General Manager to oversee all aspects of property management in alignment with RAM Hotels' policies, established procedures, brand standards, and mission statement. The General Manager will be responsible for directing daily hotel operations, managing hiring and training, fostering a cooperative work environment, and promoting sales activities to increase occupancy and average daily rates (ADR). The leader in this position will also ensure the property is maintained efficiently and cost-effectively, with a strong emphasis on guest satisfaction and profitability. Key responsibilities include supervising both direct and indirect reports, planning and organizing work schedules, developing operational strategies and goals, and providing ongoing training and advice on policies and procedures. The General Manager is tasked with setting clear performance expectations, facilitating regular communication across departments, and creating an operational environment that consistently achieves high guest satisfaction. This includes monitoring guest satisfaction data and financial reports, evaluating and resolving guest and employee concerns, and developing both short and long-term financial objectives that align with the company’s mission. In addition, the General Manager will analyze market sales trends, coordinate activities aimed at maintaining and growing revenue and market share, and ensure the implementation of brand initiatives. A strong focus on safety and cleanliness will be maintained to meet guest expectations, along with involvement in emergency and security procedures as needed. The role also emphasizes community engagement and public relations to bolster the property’s reputation by participating in and sponsoring local events. Candidates for this role are expected to have a bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with significant hotel operations experience. Preferred qualifications include a Certified Hospitality Administrator designation, presentation and facilitation skills, and extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements. Excellent customer service skills, experience in hotel management operations, and familiarity with government relations concerning hotel operations are highly desirable. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while being flexible in scheduling. They must excel in delegating tasks efficiently, communicating effectively both orally and in writing, and maintaining physical stamina for the demands of the role.
