This role, based on part-time employment, offers individuals an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of the fast-paced entertainment industry. As a part-time Beverage Server at PENN Entertainment, the responsibilities extend beyond simply serving drinks. The position demands a blend of outstanding customer service skills, professionalism, and operational efficiency. The beverage server acts as an ambassador of goodwill, promoting casino events, resolving service issues promptly, and ensuring guest satisfaction by providing personalized service using guest names. The role also involves preparing and serving beverages accurately and swiftly while adhering strictly to health and safety guidelines.
The work environment is dynamic and can often be noisy, crowded, and includes exposure to second-hand smoke and bright lighting. The successful candidate must be physically mobile, able to lift and carry moderate weights, and comfortable working in constricted spaces. Essential skills include a deep knowledge of cocktail ingredients and preparation techniques, proficiency in handling cash transactions and POS systems, and the ability to maintain composure and professionalism at all times.
