The role of Part Time Local Delivery Driver (Non-CDL) at Batesville's Kent, WA location is an integral part of the company’s commitment to reliable and respectful service. This position involves safely operating commercial motor vehicles to deliver Batesville products to customer locations while adhering strictly to federal, state, and local driving regulations as well as company policies. The schedule primarily includes Tuesday through Thursday shifts of 5-6 hours each, with on-call availability for Mondays and/or Fridays, offering a flexible and manageable part-time commitment ranging from 15 to 30 hours per week. As a Delivery Driver, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of transporting and unloading products like caskets, ensuring that deliveries are performed with the utmost care and professionalism. You will also help foster strong customer relationships by providing courteous and attentive service, representing Batesville with integrity on every delivery. The role includes compliance oversight of health and safety regulations, vehicle inspections, and maintenance to guarantee operational excellence and customer satisfaction. Candidates will be expected to utilize and become proficient with electronic logging devices (ELDs) to accurately record hours of service and perform related technology tasks. Safety is paramount in this role, supported by vehicle features such as rear and forward-facing cameras. The successful applicant will have a minimum of three years of commercial driving experience, hold a valid driver’s license, possess a clean driving record, and be capable of lifting and moving equipment and products weighing up to 50 pounds frequently and over 100 pounds occasionally. It is critical that the candidate maintains current physical certification as required by the Department of Transportation and passes a vehicle road test.
