About the role:
The Bartender position at Miller's Ale House is pivotal in delivering the exceptional guest experience that defines the brand. Bartenders are responsible for not just serving drinks but contributing to the lively and welcoming atmosphere, creating what the company refers to as "Ale House Raving Fans." This role goes beyond typical bartending duties—it demands a warm personality, excellent customer service skills, thorough knowledge of the menu and beverages, and commitment to safety and sanitation standards.
As a Bartender, you will be expected to greet guests warmly and maintain friendly interactions, ensuring every guest feels acknowledged. You will provide the highest level of service by strictly adhering to Miller’s Ale House service standards and state alcohol service requirements. This includes following the defined steps of service in training materials to consistently deliver quality and professionalism.
Bartenders at Miller's Ale House work collaboratively with other team members to ensure guests’ needs are met promptly and efficiently. Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the bar area, promptly reporting any issues to management, and supporting front-of-house operations are critical components of the daily responsibilities. Given the physical demands of this role, including standing for long periods and lifting items up to 25 pounds, a strong physical stamina is essential.

                - Arrives to work on time as scheduled in full uniform
 - greets guests with a warm and friendly manner and acknowledges everyone who comes within 5 feet with a smile
 - provides highest level of service by adhering to all Miller's Ale House service standards
 - follows the steps of service as defined in the training materials
 - serves alcoholic beverages in accordance with company standards and state alcohol service requirements
 - works directly with other team members to ensure all the guest's needs are fulfilled in a timely manner
 - ensures bar and menu knowledge to address guests questions, including food allergy issues
 - ensures proper food handling and sanitation of work areas
 - interacts with guests to create "Ale House Raving Fans"
 - maintains a neat and organized bar work areas
 - notifies management immediately of any potential guest, team member, or operational issue
 - washes hands every 30 minutes throughout the shift
 - ensures all food and alcohol is served responsibly and in accordance of company standards and state service requirements
 - maintains clean and sanitized work areas
 - works with team members to ensure that safety and sanitation protocol is being executed to company standard
 - supports other front of house functions as needed, insuring that everything within the 4 walls of the restaurant is every team member's responsibility
 - positively communicates with other team members and management to keep one another informed
 - possesses communication skills and the ability to work alone as well as with a team
 - ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
 - ability to work with numbers and handle cash
 - possesses basic reading and handwriting skills with ability to operate the restaurant point-of-sale software
 - must be a minimum of 18 years of age unless otherwise dictated by state law
 - sets up team members for success at shift change by ensuring side work and stations are properly stocked
