The role of Bartender at Sushi by Scratch Restaurants is designed for a creative, outgoing, professional, and engaging individual who is eager to learn and grow within a unique fine dining environment. This position is pivotal in delivering a curated beverage experience that complements the exceptional cuisine. Although experience with Japanese spirits, sake, and beer is not required, the ideal candidate will develop a cocktail program that aligns with the restaurant’s culinary artistry and enhances the guests’ tasting journey. The bartender will not only focus on beverages but also support the Front of House team, embracing the ethos of elevated service and teamwork. This role involves creating and maintaining batch cocktails, making beverage pairing recommendations, and maintaining a pristine bar area, with a strong emphasis on communication and collaboration with the General Manager and Chef de Cuisine. The bartender is expected to exhibit a strong work ethic, professionalism, and excellent guest interaction skills, adapting to the nuances of a fine dining setting with only a handful of guests per service. 
In addition to beverage preparation and service, the Bartender at Scratch Restaurants must be attentive to operational standards such as prep work, nightly and deep cleaning protocols, inventory management, and training adherence. This role requires flexibility and availability for regularly scheduled shifts as well as special events, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, ensuring that the beverage program supports the overall mission of delivering impeccable guest experiences. The compensation for this position is set at $288.46 per day, reflecting the specialized skills and responsibilities involved.
