The role offered is a Food and Beverage Service Associate position within one of Azul Hospitality's hotel outlets. This role is critical in delivering a friendly, courteous, and efficient food and beverage service to guests. The associate will manage the presentation and serving of food and beverages ensuring all company and health standards are met. The position involves preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold drinks including specialty coffees, teas, along with pastries and cookies. Beyond direct guest interaction, the role requires maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the preparation and service areas, setting tables, and performing general cleaning duties to uphold the outlet’s inviting and hygienic ambiance. The Food and Beverage Service Associate will take customer orders, provide detailed descriptions of menu items, suggest products, and look for opportunities to upsell, enhancing guest satisfaction and revenue. Accurate handling of the cash register and adherence to company policies surrounding cash handling and customer service are important facets of the role. The associate must also educate guests about different coffee beans, preparation techniques, and home brewing methods, showcasing product knowledge and enhancing the guest experience. Working in this role requires physical stamina as the associate will stand and move for extended periods, often working in environments with temperature variations from freezer cold to kitchen heat. The role demands lifting up to 45 pounds and maneuvering carts or equipment weighing up to 250 pounds. Employees must maintain a neat and well-groomed appearance in accordance with Azul Hospitality standards. This role requires a mix of customer service skills, operational awareness, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced hospitality setting. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective communication are essential. Basic computer and computational literacy, along with knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, and POS systems, support the technical demands of the role.
