The Barista Lead role at Aramark represents an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team focused on delivering memorable customer experiences through quality service and products in a coffee bar setting. This position is hourly paid, with a competitive rate ranging between $20.00 to $22.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. The Barista Lead is responsible for crafting a welcoming environment where customers enjoy timely service and expertly prepared beverages and food items. In addition to direct customer interaction, this role involves managing daily operations of the coffee bar, including maintaining cleanliness and adhering to food safety standards. As a Barista Lead, you will play a key role in training and guiding Baristas and other staff members on customer service excellence, cash handling, product knowledge, and brand standards for coffee and specialty beverages. You may also take on leadership duties such as scheduling team members, delegating tasks, and ensuring smooth coordination of work assignments to meet operational goals. Efficient transaction processing through the register or POS system, cash drawer management, and adherence to cash policies are essential responsibilities. Beyond customer service and staff supervision, you will ensure the coffee bar and surrounding area are properly stocked, cleaned, and sanitized, maintaining high standards of health, safety, and sanitation. This role requires a proactive attitude and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, balancing the needs of the team and customers efficiently. The Barista Lead role is physically active, involving lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking or standing. Use of personal protective equipment and compliance with uniform policies are part of the work environment. Completion of food handling certifications is required to ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations. • High school diploma or equivalent
• experience as a successful barista
• previous cash handling experience
• basic math and counting skills
• ability to work independently with limited supervision
• completion of food handling certification
• ability to follow required dress code
• ability to read and communicate in English
• physical ability to perform lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and extended walking and standing
• willingness to wear uniforms and personal protective equipment as required
