The Barista position at SpaceX is a critical, team-oriented role designed to support employee morale and productivity by delivering excellent customer service within the company’s food and beverage services. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of coffee and beverage items, utilizing equipment such as manual espresso machines, drip coffee brewers, and grinders, while adhering to strict food safety and sanitation protocols. The barista is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming workspace to ensure a positive experience for all company personnel. This role requires familiarity with basic customer service principles combined with practical knowledge of food service equipment and procedures. SpaceX offers compensation ranging from $22.50 to $24.50 per hour depending on the level of experience and skill, contributing to a comprehensive rewards package that includes long-term incentives, health benefits, and paid time off. - High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 2+ years of customer service experience in a food service environment that includes coffee and beverage services
- Must be available to work the following shift: 1st Shift A: Monday - Friday, start time between 5AM - 8AM
- Ability to carry large heavy items, such as dishes in tubs or trays unassisted (up to 25 lbs.)
- Ability to stand for long periods of time - up to 8 hours a day
- Ability to work all shifts and available for overtime and weekends, as needed
- Ability to perform frequent bending, stooping, and lifting of objects
