The role available at ISS Guckenheimer is a full-time Food Service Barista position offering an hourly wage ranging from $17.00 to $18.00. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, providing consistency and work-life balance. In this role, the Food Service Barista will be the welcoming face for all guests, ensuring a positive and memorable experience from the moment they arrive. Responsibilities include preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold beverages such as coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, and teas. The barista will also serve ready-to-eat foods like pastries, muffins, biscotti, and bagels during breakfast, as well as sandwiches and salads at lunchtime. Serving guests with a caring and happy attitude is a critical aspect of the role, directly impacting guest satisfaction and the overall environment. The position demands punctuality, professionalism, and a polished appearance including wearing the proper uniform and non-slip shoes. The successful candidate must demonstrate outstanding hospitality skills while working collaboratively with chefs, the front of house, and catering managers. Building respectful relationships with teammates, guests, and delivery vendors is also essential. This role requires attentiveness to safety protocols, cleanliness, and adherence to health and safety standards to maintain a compliant work environment. Ideal candidates for this position will have a genuine passion for customer service, a positive and dependable work ethic, and effective communication skills. They should be able to maintain composure during busy periods and ensure all equipment is clean and functioning properly. The responsibilities include setting up equipment, cleaning and sanitizing work spaces, managing inventory, operating cash registers, restocking and rotating products, and displaying merchandise attractively. Employees must be physically capable of lifting at least 25 pounds, standing for up to seven hours, and working under pressure during peak business times.
