The Concessions Barback position at CAPA is an essential operational role designed for individuals who are passionate about customer service and performing arts. This role primarily supports bartenders and concessions staff by assisting with event setup, stock maintenance during shows, and thorough bar area cleaning. The Barback helps to create a seamless concession experience by ensuring that all products are well-stocked, properly secured after events, and that equipment such as coffee urns are well-maintained. The role also includes opening the 4th floor bar to serve snacks, beer, and wine to patrons. Attention to detail and the ability to multitask are crucial as the Barback communicates regularly with bartenders during performances to anticipate needs and maintain operational flow. This position demands physical stamina, including the ability to lift up to 25 pounds, move quickly, and stand for extended periods while maintaining a positive and calm demeanor in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be a dedicated team member with strong guest service skills, understanding alcohol management protocols such as ID checking and knowing when to limit service for patrons’ safety. A minimum of 50% availability for monthly shifts is expected, reflecting the typical performance schedule. • must be 18 years of age or older
• experience in guest relations or hospitality preferred
• ability to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings and weekends
