We are currently seeking motivated Barbacks to join The Strand House and The Strand Bar teams on a part-time basis. This position is ideal for individuals either with prior barback experience or those eager to learn the craft and grow in their hospitality career. Barbacks will play a crucial support role, assisting bartenders by keeping the bar clean, stocked, and running efficiently throughout busy service periods. Compensation starts at $16.50 per hour plus tips, with very high tips due to the restaurant's high sales volume and upscale clientele. Additional benefits include sick pay after 90 days, medical benefits contribution of $200 per month for full-time employees, an employee assistance program, and discounts on meals as well as at other Zislis Group properties. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and demonstrate the ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining a friendly, hospitable demeanor. The ideal Barback is punctual, diligent, and ready to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays across both the restaurant and bar areas. Candidates with at least one year of experience in a fine dining or high-volume bar environment will find this role a great fit, though those with less experience but a strong willingness to learn are encouraged to apply. A high school diploma is required.
